Things in the world are changing, and we will all be changed forever as a results of this event.
 
There is unmistakeable grief and sadness beneath the panic and fear. 
 
I am very conscious of the links between the organs systems and emotions in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The lungs carry the energy and emotions of grief and sadness, and there are many in the world who are experiencing respiratory symptoms and challenges right now that are completely unrelated to the virus that is spreading through our populations.
 
I have been experiencing a residual cough for almost two weeks now. Each day I wake up, I am fine, but as I listen to the news and reach out to friends, I feel sadness and begin to cough. It's an expelling of energy, a release of the collective sadness.

We are reminded that the earth provides all that we need, and our corruption of the land has also led to our disconnect from the healing essences she provides. 

We are seeing signs of the effects of our "pause" on the earth already. The canals in Venice, Italy are running crystal clear with schools of fish and even swans swimming along them!

If you have visited these famous waters in the past, you will know that the water normally appears opaque, murky, and dull as a result of diesel boats and tourist cruise ships polluting the water.

At this time of "pause," we can go within and see where we are able to "decongest" the pollution in our own lives.

Like the canals in Venice, we have channels running through our own bodies - our blood vessels, our nerve pathways, our energy meridians.

These canals can become polluted by poor food choices, inadequate water, toxic chemicals and synthetic products, and negative thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. The choices that we make are often the result of stressed-out, hurried, and busy minds that are just trying to survive.  


Let us use this time of "pause" to clarify our own inner canals and energy pathways.

Here are some questions for reflection to assist you:
  • What areas in your life have you been compromising in favour of convenience? 
  • Where have you been making choices based on fear over love? 
  • What negative thoughts, patterns, or behaviours are you now aware of and can make a commitment to change or transform? 
  • How are you going to honour your body and your energy from now on, knowing that you are in complete control of your choices?
  • In what way are you going to say "yes" to yourself and "no" to the distractions that pull you farther away from your truth?
As we begin to unpack and re-assess our lives and our choices, not only will we live more healthfully and experience more freedom and lightness, we can also begin to remember the crystalline nature of our being, the pureness of our light, and our deeper purpose here on earth.
